In the movie “THE GODS MUST BE CRAZY” it compares and contrasts the culture and the ways of life of both modern society and the Bushman tribe of the Kalahari Desert. The Bushmen and the modern society have different views on each of the following subjects, like the way a bottle is used, their religion and ways of life, and their manners and morels.
The bottle is used in different ways in both the modern society and the Bushmen. The modern society uses the bottle as a cup to hold soda. The Bushman used it for many things, they used it to make music by, blowing into the hole and the wind goes in the bottle causing the bottle to make sound. They also used the bottle to make circles. The bottle became so useful to the Bushman that they started becoming very greedy which introduced the bushman to the feelings of hate and jealousy. The people in the modern world feel these feelings constantly because there are so many things to want and to have greed, jealousy and hate for.
The Bushman believed in religion and a god and, the modern society worships money and power. In the film “THE GODS MUST BE CRAZY” it explains that the Bushmen believe that there is a god and its taking care of them because , they are the children. The Bushmen have all they need like food, water and a place to live because god is providing them with these essentials. The modern society, on the other hand, worship materials and money. The modern society is so dependent on money to buy what they need and what they want and if they don’t have money they will find a way to get money or steal and lie and cheat to get what they want. In the movie “THE GODS MUST BE CRAZY” it explains that a man is trying to kill to get power to take over the country. The modern society needs materials to live all the Bushmen need are the gods and what they provide them with.
The bushman have different thoughts on what is considered rude then what the modern people do. The bushman considered it to be extremely rude when he walked into the courtroom and smiled and no one smiled at him back. The bushman also thought it was rude when he tried to talk to the lady and she walked away from him. The bushman also thought that modern people were rude because, he thought that the guy was going to eat the goat without sharing with him. The teacher from the modern society thought the bushman was being rude because, he accidently walked in when she was dressing but he didn’t know any better. She also thought he was rude because he wasn’t wearing what she considered to be proper clothes.
The movie “THE GODS MUST BE CRAZY” shows that both The Bushmen from Africa in the Kalahari Desert, and the modern society have different views on things like how the bottle is used, their religions and what they worship, and what they consider to be rude and, what they call having manners. These are two very different ways of life and, they each have different ways of doing things. They both are equally as important as the other.

"Leonardo Da Vinci"
Leonardo da Vinci was born on April 15,1452,in Vinci Italy. By the time he was 20, he was a great artist and was taking commissions with wealthy clients. The two well known paintings leonardo da Vinci painted were called the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper. He also had many other skills such as, metalworking, leather arts, carpentry, drawing and sculpting. Leonardo da Vinci has been known as a genius and the Renaissance man.
Leonardo did not believe there was a divide between science and art. His ideas were mostly theoretical and laid in in complete and exact detail, but were hardly experimental. The drawings he made of a fetus, the heart, and vascular system, sex organs, and other bone and muscular structures, are some of the first on the human record. One of his works was a mechanical lion that had the ability to walk and open up its chest to reveal a bouquet of lillies. Leonardo da Vinci created a helicopter, a tank, concentrated solar power,a calculator and a double hill. Also he outlined a rudimentary theory of plate tectonics. Little of his designs were constructed or were even feasable during all his lifetime. He made very important discoveries in anatomy, civil engineering, optics, and hydrodynamics.
Leonardo’s youth was spent in a Florence that was ornamented by the works of the artists Masaccio, whose figurative frescoes were imbued with realism and emotion and Ghiberti whose gates of paradise, gleaming with gold leaf, displayed the art of combining detailed architectural backgrounds and complex figure positions. The first painter to make a scientific study of light was Piero della. In 1476, the Portinari Altarpiece by Hugo van der goes arrived in Florence, bringing new painting techniques from Northern Europe which affected Leonardo,Ghirlandaio, perugino and other artists. Leonardo experimented with with designs for centrally planned churches that appear in his journals,as both plans and views, but none of them were realised.
In 1513, Leonardo headed home to Rome where his friend, Giuliano de’Medici(the brother of the Pope Leo X) offered him a place to live in his residence. Leonardo did not receive any commissions and stayed in Rome, while his rivals Michelangelo and Raphael were still hard at work. Finally at the age of 67, in 1519, leonardo da Vinci died and was buried in the church of Saint-Florentin. That church was ruined during the French Revolution, and was completely torn down during the 19th century. Today there are no markings to find the gravesite.
